A team of doctors from Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), GSM foundation (as the main sponsor) and Tumbi Designated Regional Hospital have conduct three days (12 Sept – 14 Sept. 2016) camp treatment for children with hydrocephalus and spina bifida problem.

During the camp, a team was managed to register 23 children although among them only 8 children were identified with this problem. Children with the age between 2 months to nine (9) years old have undergo surgeon at Tumbi Hospital. 

Statistics shows a low number of children presented at Tumbi Hospital for check up with their parent (from Kibaha District) due to the reason that most of parents have poor belief on this condition (witch craft). Also they luck a proper education about the condition as it is curable.

GSM foundation reach out to Tumbi Regional Hospital as their 3rd phase of the community outreach program of hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida within the country.
